A Guide to London’s Different Food Festivals

Food is an integral part of London’s distinct identity. Fortunately for tourists and locals alike, the city is never short of a reason to celebrate its thriving food scene. During your stay at any of the hotels in Cricklewood London, there are several food festivals that you should not miss out visiting on. Here are some of them:

 London Seafood Festival

Returning to London for a second round, the London Seafood Festival will feature several renowned chefs like Asma Khan and Vivek Singh who will offer their own unique takes on seafood dishes coming from different cuisines.

The Festival will be held on the 12th to the 16th of June at Battersea Power Station, Circus West in Sopwith Way. The nearest Tube stop to it will be the Sloane Square Station.

National Geographic Traveller Food Festival

Happening at the Business Design Center on 52 Upper Street from July 20 t0 21, the National Geographic Traveller Food Festival is the newest event for London’s food scene this year. Some of the people expected to show up here include Raymond Blanc, Felicity Cloake, and John Torode.

As expected of any food festival, this event will feature food stalls, live cooking classes, and other demonstrations. The event will be most accessible via the Angel Station.

 London Craft Beer Festival

To be held at Tobacco Dock which is near the Rotherhithe Overground Station, the London Craft Beer Festival is a 10-day event that features more than 80 local and international breweries. Visitors can expect to choose from well over 500 artisanal beers from breweries like Pressure Drop, Two Tribes, and France-based Brasserie Poppin.

The beer festival will be held from the 1st of August to the 11th. Visitors can also expect live music performances as well as a selection of food from British and international cuisines.

 Hampton Court Palace Food Festival

As the name clearly states, this food festival will be held at the Hampton Court Palace which is easily accessible through Richmond Station. The lineup of chefs has yet to be announced but, given that last year featured the likes of Melissa Hemsley and Michel Roux, Jr., this year’s festival will be equally star-studded.

Visitors can expect various book-signing opportunities and master classes with this event. Also, as an added bonus, tickets will include free entry into the home of King Henry VIII himself.

These are just some of the food festivals expected to happen in London during the summer and for the rest of the year. There are some festivals that cater to food lovers looking for a quieter and more relaxed experienced.

Whatever your fancy is, you can expect your visit to London to be nowhere near boring as far as food is concerned. All that is required is for you to plan your trip here accordingly and after these festivals, you can also do a night party at any of the North West London party venues which also sounds exciting.
