Where to Celebrate American Thanksgiving in London?

It’s that time of the year again to look back at the past, be together with family and friends, and give thanks. But if you’re in London and away from your family, you can still celebrate Thanksgiving the American way while a resident at Park Grand Kensington. Here’s a list of where you can celebrate Thanksgiving.

Covent Garden Hotel

This quaint hotel is located at 10 Monmouth Street. If you’re hankering for an all-American Thanksgiving feast, Brasserie Max’s offerings are sure to satisfy your cravings. Starters include cornbread with coconut soup and spiced sweet potato. Their main entrée, turkey roasted with thyme and stuffed with cornbread, is superb. And how does a relish of orange and cranberry sound? Finish it all off with a pecan and pumpkin pie topped with classic vanilla ice cream.

STK London

If you want to be part of this once-in-a-year offering of STK London, better make your reservations for November 23. STK is an American Steakhouse located inside the ME London Hotel at 336-337 The Strand. Expect lots of turkey, sausages, ribs, corn cakes, and bread stuffing. Come hungry!

Sea Containers Restaurant

The Mondrian located at 20 Upper Ground is home to Sea Containers Restaurant, another classic London dining destination. Thanksgiving celebrations are extended here as they offer feasts from the 20th of November until the 26th. Sink your teeth into the braised turkey leg with baked pumpkin, or go for the roasted turkey paired with butternut squash. Don’t forget the pudding specially made by Edd Kimber, winner of the Great British Bake Off.

The Jones Family Project

Located at 78 Great Eastern Street, this restaurant continues a tradition of serving food and drinks with passion. Their special Thanksgiving list of cocktail drinks makes use of classic American fruits like cranberries, grapes, blueberries, and apples. Their cream of squash soup is to die for because of the added winter truffle and pumpkin seeds. Thanksgiving meals are available from November 23 to 25.

The Arch London

An American Thanksgiving feast isn’t complete without turkey. Visit Hunter 486 located inside The Arch London at 50 Great Cumberland Place. From November 23 to 26, they will be serving roast Norfolk turkey stuffed with chestnut. Sides include sweet potato mash, bacon, and green beans. Top it off with this delicious dessert: apple pie with cinnamon custard.

108 Brasserie

Not too far from the Park City Kensington Hotel Restaurant, you can head to 108 Marylebone Lane and visit 108 Brasserie for an authentic Thanksgiving feast. Homemade cornbread with clam chowder, baked mac and cheese topped with leeks, squash with black truffle, and grilled salmon are just some of their offerings. Desserts include pecan or pumpkin pie and New York cheesecake. Their Thanksgiving offerings are available only on November 23.

The Montagu

No plans to whip up your own Thanksgiving feast? The Montagu at 30 Portman Square has got you covered. From roasted turkey and squash soup to apple pie and apple cider sorbet, they have everything to satisfy your cravings. Their dishes follow traditional recipes so it will be very much like home cooked. You get to enjoy classic Thanksgiving dishes without the hassle of cooking them yourself.
